Project meeting in 1Future at Eberswalde University of Sustainable Development

During 12-13 October, Henrik Hassel from the Division of risk management and societal safety, participated in a project meeting on the 1Future-project. 1Future is an Erasmus+-project including 18 organizations and led by the University of Tirana. The aim of the project is to support Higher Education (HEIs) on the Western Balkans in building capacity in education and research on climate action and sustainability.
During the project meeting in Eberswalde, with more than 30 participants, a range of important issues were discussed. In particular, experience from EU-universities on setting up sustainability strategies were shared. The idea is that similar sustainability strategies and actions plans will be established by the HEIs on the Western Balkans. The project is an excellent example of how Lund University shares experience and insights with the broader community of universities as well as learn from how sustainability issues are addressed at HEIs active in other areas of the world.
