In September 2018, Peter Månsson successfully defended his thesis ”Indivisible Wholes and Fragmented Realities: On the Aggregation of Disaster Risk Information”. The scientific council at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) has now granted Peter a 2-year post-doc award that allows him to explore how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can support Swedish authorities in producing, presenting and aggregating results of risk and vulnerability assessments.
