New course on Risk Perception, Risk Communication and Human Behaviour

– Published 28 March 2019

Our new course ”Risk perception, Risk communication and Human Behavior” started on Tuesday the 24th of March. The first students to attend are enrolled in the DRMCCA Master’s program.  During this course, the students will learn more about what influences risk perception, how communication about risks usually is done and what this means on an individual as well as a societal level. Examples of questions that will be discussed during the course are: How do we prioritise between what risks to manage from a societal perspective? What risks can we expect to be protected from and why? Can research explain what underlying reasons there are to explain why one risk is perceived differently by different groups? What do these differences mean for risk communication?

The course is developed and run by Misse Wester and Phu Doma Lama.
